CHECKLIST OUTLINE FOR CAMPUS ADMINISTRATORS
Explore DAI Web site - Home Page
- Print out Webflyer 2002 - an overview of the system options
- Review Selected Home Page "buttons" (e.g., Introduction, User Groups)
- Evaluate DAI Online Feature benefits (animated graphic)
- Try Free Demo - partial sample of the Inventory demonstrating format and immediate scoring
- Request Free Training Period units (15) for selected staff and students
- Place order for pilot program (Order Form button)
Plan Pilot Program
- Appoint project coordinator and/or assistant
- Distribute Webflyer and identify key faculty and staff Steering Team members
- Print out copies of Advisor's Guide and Student Guide for Steering Team
- Select primary application groups (e.g., new students, RAs, high risk students, commuters)
- Take the Inventory - get acquainted with the Inventory (Home Page link)
- Navigate the Administrative Login sections (Home Page link)
- Prepare "power point" presentation for local campus objectives
Initiate Pilot Program
- Select & orient Support Team (e.g., hall directors, faculty advisors or teachers, student assistants)
- Kick off self assessment program with student groups (see Introduction button - Developmental Playground "games")
- Issue student IDs for and passwords for login and set up student access in system (Users)
- Issue Initial Inventory (pre-test) to students (needs assessment) early in semester
- Print out Administrative Report - profile data from needs assessment
- Implement educational programs and interventions in response to needs assessment
- Issue Final Inventory (post-test) to students (outcome assessment) late in semester
- Print out Administrative Report - profile data from outcome assessment
Evaluate Pilot Program
- Collect feedback information from students on the DAI Online system and educational programs
- Review needs assessment profile, educational interventions, outcome assessment profile, and student feedback with Support Team members
- Develop recommendations for the future with Steering Team members
- Make presentations to relevant staff, faculty, and administrator groups
- Determine future applications of the DAI Online
- Share summary report with DAI, Inc. for inclusion on web site User Groups
