SCORING SERVICES
Self Scoring or Opscan machine scoring of printed materials

The Developmental Scoring Wheel helps respondents to chart their development whether the scoring method was done manually or by machine.

The DAI has two scoring options: the first is self-scoring which is popular when working with small pilot projects and individual students. The second is an op scan scoring service for campuses in which large scale needs assessment, longitudinal outcomes assessment, and special population needs or research profiles are important.

There are three types of reports available from the Scoring Services which present data using percentages, means, standard deviations, and rankings. They are Institutional Report, Group Reports, and Individual Reports. Online Scoring Option available.

INSTITUTIONAL REPORT

This five-in-one report is actually a series of sub-reports:

(1) Overall Report - Development (nine dimensions/135 items, Satisfaction, and Discussion profiles.
(2) Development Report - Development only (dimensions & items)
(3) Values Report - Satisfaction items only
(4) Advising Report - Discussion items only
(5) Dimension Profile - Dimensions only

GROUP REPORTS

Group reports are user-defined and follow the same format as the 5-in-1 Institutional Report. The five group options are: (1) Minority Status, (2) Sex, (3) Class, (4) Academic Status, (5) Special Code (local option).

INDIVIDUAL REPORTS

Reports for individual students also follow the same format as the institutional and group reports. The individual report is a profile showing the profiles for each student completing the DAI.
